Week 2, 2026

😷 Finally getting over a nasty bout of flu, so spent the week mostly watching trashy Netflix true crime docs.

🚀 Went to Manchester to see The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks, an immersive 360° show about the Apollo (and upcoming Artemis) missions (1-min teaser video). Loved it!

Indoor exhibition space with large projected wall graphics reading “THE MOONWALKERS”. Visitors stand and crouch on a dark floor marked with glowing circular dots. Two side screens show archival footage, including astronauts and water training scenes.

Large projection of an astronaut in a white spacesuit walking on the Moon, filling an entire wall. Visitors sit and stand on low benches facing the screen. The floor and walls are dark, creating a cinema-like environment focused on the lunar surface image.

😋 Nipped over to MediaCity in Salford for a mooch about and dinner at Kargo MKT. Got food from ThatTiki (Greek) and Plus 84 (Vietnamese street food).

Night view of MediaCity UK waterfront with modern office buildings lit in white, blue, and purple. The BBC building is visible on the right. Lights from buildings and streetlamps reflect clearly in calm water in the foreground.
